This Bhagwant Mann video controversy has again become very heated,and honestly,this is not small political argument ah . When Akal Takht releases video of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann 's appearance before supreme authority of Sikhs,that too on June 20,2026,people are obviously going to react strongly .
Matter is connected to January appearance before Akal Takht,over alleged objectionable video which had already created lot of controversy . Issue reportedly goes back to Mann’s comments about 'Guru ki Golak' and alleged inappropriate interactions with images of Sikh Gurus,along with slain militant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale .
And then on June 15,Akal Takht issued edict against Mann . After that,opposition parties started increasing pressure and calls for his resignation also became louder.
During his January 15 appearance,Mann denied allegations clearly and said,"This is completely fake." He also said he wanted proper investigation into video and was ready to give addresses of forensic laboratories.
His main argument was that artificial intelligence can be used to create misleading videos,not just of him but others also . According to Mann,this video was part of effort to defame him,and tbh,this AI angle is something people cannot casually ignore these days .
Few things standing out in this case:
- Mann asserted he wanted video examined by forensic experts.
- Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj insisted authenticity must be determined through forensic analysis.
- Akal Takht labeled Mann 'Guru Dokhi' and 'Khalsa Panth virodhi' due to video.
But Mr . Gargajj also said character of people should not be tarnished without proper evidence,regardless of whether video is genuine or not . At same time,he pressed Mann to give names of two forensic laboratories,which Mann has yet to provide .
Mann responded that he would cooperate with any investigation under jathedar's supervision . Still,the matter has already gone beyond one video only,because Akal Takht’s declaration against him has created more scrutiny and more political pressure.
And now big question is what happens if forensic findings confirm video is genuine,because Akal Takht has said further decisions will depend on investigation findings . Till then,this whole issue is hanging in middle with faith,politics,AI and reputation all mixed together…
