15 years old and smashing 11-ball fifty for India A against Sri Lanka A on June 21,2026… not normal thing ah.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi ended up making 94 runs off 29 balls,and that innings had 10 fours and 8 sixes . Because of that madness,India A reached huge total of 377-9. At just 15,this kind of hitting is not just hype,it is scary confidence.
And craziest part is that this is now being talked about as fastest half-century in List A 50-over cricket . He faced only one dot ball during whole innings,which tells you what kind of attacking mood he was in.
He got to that fifty by hitting five fours and five sixes in just ten balls . Previous mark mentioned was Thisara Perera scoring fifty in 13 balls for Sri Lankan Army,and then those international records of 16 balls by AB de Villiers and Matthew Forde. Big names,big records,and suddenly one 15-year-old is standing in same conversation .

At same time,his T20 selection shows selectors are clearly watching him closely . First T20 against Ireland is scheduled for June 26,and after that five-match ODI series against England begins on July 1 . So his next few matches are going to have lot of eyes on him.
And ODI squad also has its own talking points. Virat Kohli's potential return depends on fitness,while Shubman Gill (captain),Rohit Sharma,and Jasprit Bumrah are in squad . Yashasvi Jaiswal and Hardik Pandya will not participate in series because of injury concerns.
