Another painful accident story has come from Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh, and honestly, this one feels even more upsetting because villagers are saying road condition was already dangerous . Two people died and one person is now critically injured after crash near railway bridge on Shipra Bypass.
Incident happened on morning of May 30 . As per police reports,a speeding car coming from Indore lost control on uneven surface of bridge and then skidded nearly 100 feet before crashing head-on into motorcycle .
Two men, identified as Haider and Ansar, died in collision . Imran suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital in Indore for urgent medical care.
And tbh,the detail about impact is very disturbing . Witnesses said collision was so severe that Haider was thrown off bridge and fell approximately 50 feet below . Both Ansar and Imran also suffered critical leg injuries in crash.
But after accident, anger also came out strongly from local villagers . They gathered at spot and blamed bad road condition for what happened . For them, this was not just one random accident, but something they feel authorities ignored for long time.
Few things standing out clearly here:
- Local residents accused authorities of neglecting road maintenance.
- Villagers reported that poor road conditions had caused several incidents in the past.
- Protest resulted in significant traffic jams on both sides of bypass.
Villagers blocked bypass for nearly two hours, demanding immediate action on road condition . And honestly, when people are forced to block road after deaths, that itself says how unheard they must be feeling.
Officials, including SDM Abhishek Sharma, reached site and spoke with protesters . After discussion, villagers agreed to clear road when they were assured that their complaints about road defects would be taken to relevant authorities for consideration .
Still, big question is why it takes deaths and public anger before broken road becomes serious issue . If locals were already warning about previous accidents, then who was listening and who was ignoring…
