Just read some very troubling news coming from Balochistan, and it’s honestly hard to process . Reports are saying at least ten civilians were forcibly disappeared during recent operations by Pakistani forces .
This all apparently happened on June 2 across different districts like Nushki,Khuzdar, and Surab . Local sources like the Balochistan Post are reporting a huge military presence in the Killi Mengal region where one large-scale search operation was carried out.
And residents are saying around 20 military vehicles surrounded the whole area, then started searching house-to-house . During this, seven individuals were reportedly detained and just taken away to unknown locations. Not a small thing ah.
The victims from that raid have been identified as Shah Khalid,Mohammad Irfan,Mohammad Niaz,Noor Mohammad,Mohammad Arif,Alauddin, and Abdul Basit . Their families have no idea where they are.
And honestly, this is where things get really scary .
Because this wasn't an isolated incident . In a separate raid in Surab, two other men,Ubaidullah and Khuda Bakhsh, were also taken . It feels like this is becoming a regular pattern.
Few things standing out here:
- Recent military raids have intensified fears of human rights violations.
- Local community is very alarmed by this growing trend of abductions.
- Reports of kidnappings for ransom are also apparently rising in Balochistan.
But the situation gets even more complicated. Another report mentioned a shopkeeper,Saifur Rehman, was abducted by security forces back on May 25 . And there are allegations that the Counter Terrorism Department and Military Intelligence were involved.
On top of all this, there are separate cases of a businessman’s son and another businessman being kidnapped . The entire security climate just seems to be getting worse and worse.
People there must be living in constant fear rn,not knowing who will be next . You hear these stories again and again but nothing ever seems to change…
