Padamati Anvitha from Telangana has reached summit of Mount Denali, standing at 6,190 metres, and that too on June 19,2026 . Not small thing ah,especially when Denali is known to test even very experienced climbers .
And this climb is not just one more mountain in her list . It marks her sixth ascent in Seven Summits Challenge, which means she is now one step closer to joining select group of Indian women who have climbed highest mountains on each continent.
Anvitha was born and raised in Bhongir, located in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, and over time she has seriously built strong name in mountaineering community . From small-town roots to some of world’s toughest peaks, that journey itself says a lot.
Her previous climbs include Mount Everest at 8,849 m,Mount Manaslu at 8,163 m,and Mount Vinson in Antarctica . She has also scaled Mount Elbrus in Europe,Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, and Mount Aconcagua in South America . Each mountain sounds like achievement on its own,but together it shows how consistent she has been .
Few things that stand out clearly in her journey:
- She became First Indian woman on Manaslu's true summit .
- She did winter ascent of Mount Elbrus and became first Indian to conquer this peak during winter, unfurling a 10-meter-long Indian tricolor flag.
- She has led expeditions to Mount Gorichen in Arunachal Pradesh and Mount Khadey in Ladakh .
And tbh,her words after Denali feel very grounded . Anvitha said,"Every mountain teaches humility, patience, and perseverance." That line hits because climbing mountains is not only about strength,no . It is about waiting, suffering, adjusting, and still moving .
Carrying Indian flag to summit of Denali was especially meaningful for her . For Anvitha,it was not just personal victory, but also national pride . And for many young women watching from outside, this kind of story can quietly change what they think is possible .
Right now,she is affiliated with Transcend Academy of Rock Climbing in Bhongir, where she continues sharing her love for climbing with others . That part matters because achievements become bigger when they also pull more people into adventure.
And now question is simple but exciting . After Everest,Manaslu,Vinson,Elbrus,Kilimanjaro,Aconcagua and now Denali, where does Padamati Anvitha’s mountain journey go next…
