Raigad District Collector along with local disaster management authority officially announced that all educational institutions will remain shut on that day . This came after India Meteorological Department issued serious weather warning for district.
And forecast is not small matter either . IMD is predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall across several parts of Raigad,with some isolated spots potentially receiving extremely heavy downpours . That kind of warning during peak monsoon season cannot be taken lightly at all .
What makes this order quite wide in scope is that it does not just cover regular schools . Everything from anganwadis right up to higher secondary schools falls under this directive . So basically every child and staff member in affected areas gets protection under this decision.
