This whole Pramod Mutalik and Prakash Raj issue has now taken another serious turn,and honestly,it feels like Karnataka politics and cinema world are again getting pulled into same heated space .
Pramod Mutalik,the chief of Sri Rama Sene,has now called for Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into actor Prakash Raj . His allegation is that Raj is part of conspiracy aimed at defaming Dharmasthala,and that is not small accusation ah .
During press conference in Dharwad on June 18,Mutalik said he has concerns about Raj's connections with people who are allegedly involved in this conspiracy . He also questioned what kind of communication Raj had with them,and whether any financial support was involved.
And this is where matter becomes more direct . Mutalik has urged SIT to take immediate action by arresting and interrogating Prakash Raj so these allegations can be clarified.
Few things standing out from his remarks:
- Mutalik wants SIT probe into Prakash Raj over alleged conspiracy to defame Dharmasthala.
- He has urged Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to boycott Raj.
- He criticized Home Minister Priyank Kharge over comments about RSS .

But he did not stop with Prakash Raj only . He also attacked Home Minister Priyank Kharge,calling his comments about RSS childish and politically motivated . According to Mutalik,Kharge's remarks look like attempt to please party leadership instead of focusing on bigger problems .
He also criticized government for not addressing illegal immigration and rising crime rates . In his view,government should focus more on illegal Bangladeshi immigration and drug trafficking,which he called serious concerns in Karnataka.
And tbh,this is bigger than just one actor or one statement now . It is about public figures,political messaging,religious institutions,RSS,and how quickly every comment becomes part of bigger fight.
For now,Mutalik has made his stand very clear,but what SIT does next,and how Prakash Raj or others respond to these allegations,is still hanging there…
