NEET-UG 2026 re-exam news has again created that same uneasy feeling among students and parents . NTA is saying exam is done successfully, but social media paper leak rumours made whole situation tense again.
The National Testing Agency said NEET-UG 2026 re-examination was conducted on June 21,2026 . And in statement released on X,NTA clearly said viral video claiming paper leak is false and misleading.
And honestly, for over 20 lakh medical aspirants, this is not small thing ah . One rumour also can create panic because these students are already under huge pressure after months and months of preparation.
NTA said exam was held with strict security protocols and fair process was followed . Agency also warned that spreading fabricated video and misinformation is serious offense, and legal action is being pursued against people who created and circulated that content.
Some main facts from exam day:
- NEET re-exam was conducted across 5,440 centres in India and 14 centres abroad .
- Over 7 lakh officials, including police teams and examination staff, were mobilized.
- Special arrangements were made for over 10,000 candidates with disabilities.
Abhishek Singh, the Director General of the NTA,said this was not just NTA effort but "Team Bharat" that made it possible . He also acknowledged work of different government bodies and academic institutions in preparing multiple sets of question papers to maintain exam integrity.
But at same time, criticism around NTA has not gone away . Investigations into alleged paper leak are still continuing, and people are angry because initial leak issue itself led to this re-exam.
The newly formed Cockroach Janta Party, led by Abhijeet Dipke, has also been organizing protests demanding accountability from government and resignation of Education Minister . So clearly, public trust is still shaky rn .
NTA says it is using advanced security measures like biometric verification and CCTV surveillance to stop unfair practices during exam . But students and parents are being asked to depend only on official website and social media channels for verified information.
And this is where whole thing feels stuck . NTA is saying exam was fair, protesters are demanding answers, students just want certainty… but after so much chaos, how quickly will trust actually come back…
