This NEET-related incident from Varanasi is honestly strange and worrying at same time . medical aspirant allegedly entered exam centre with SIM card and old medical entrance exam paper hidden in his undergarments on June 21,2026 . Not small thing ah,especially when exam is already under so much public pressure.
Incident happened at Harishchandra Post Graduate College, which was designated examination center for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) . This was just before exam was about to begin,so timing itself made security staff more alert.
During pre-examination frisking, security personnel reportedly became suspicious of candidate . After more detailed checking, they found SIM card and old medical entrance exam paper concealed in his undergarments . And honestly, this is where whole thing becomes very uncomfortable .
The candidate was then taken into custody for questioning . He has been identified as Prince Dubey,a resident of Ballia district . Reports say he had recently shifted to Jabalpur,Madhya Pradesh,to prepare for NEET and had come to Varanasi specifically for exam .
Few things standing out clearly in this case:
- SIM card and old medical entrance exam paper were allegedly found hidden in his undergarments .
- Incident took place at Harishchandra Post Graduate College in Varanasi before NEET began.
- Police investigation is ongoing and Prince Dubey's background is being checked.
And tbh, this raises same old concern again — how far some candidates may go when pressure of medical entrance exam becomes too high . NEET is not normal school test, lakhs of families attach dreams, money and years of preparation to it .
At same time, security teams also have huge responsibility . If such items are being carried inside exam centre, then frisking has to be strict only, otherwise fairness of whole examination process gets questioned.
Police are now looking into matter and further inquiries are being conducted to understand full extent of incident . Officials are also reviewing Prince Dubey's preparations and possible motivation behind carrying those items.
But bigger question is still hanging there . Was this just one desperate candidate trying something foolish,or does it point to something wider around exam pressure and cheating attempts…
