Nitish Kumar got unanimous support as party’s national president, and at same time, party also clearly pushed future picture around Nishant Kumar .
Kumar thanked council for endorsement and again spoke about JD(U)’s line of 'development with justice,' saying this has connected with people of Bihar and helped party membership cross 10 million . That number is not small thing ah,especially for regional party with such long political journey.
He also looked back at Bihar since 2005,when his government first came to power . His point was that state moved from backwardness toward inclusive development, and he said,“Efforts were made to bring every segment of society into the mainstream of development,” giving credit to public support over last two decades.
And tbh, this is where political messaging becomes very clear . It was not just about what Nitish Kumar has done, but also about who carries that story forward from here .
Few things stood out from meeting:
- Nitish Kumar received unanimous support as JD(U)’s national president.
- Nishant Kumar was praised as future figure who can carry forward developmental vision.
- Umesh Singh Kushwaha was ratified as state president for third consecutive term.
Party also talked about initiatives like ‘Saat Nischay-3’ (Seven Resolves-3) under National Democratic Alliance (NDA),saying these are moving ahead in public welfare with continued support from Central government . Basically,JD(U) is trying to show governance model is still active and not just old achievement story.
Sanjay Kumar Jha,the national working president, also praised Kumar strongly and called him universally acknowledged leader who gave party strong identity . He said pride people feel today while representing Bihar comes from Kumar’s policies and vision, which is big political claim only .
Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, said JD(U) stands on solid base because of Kumar’s economic and social policies . He also confirmed there was unanimous agreement inside party about Nishant Kumar’s potential to continue development legacy started by his father.
But this whole moment also raises one obvious question . Is JD(U) preparing a smooth generational shift in front of everyone,or is party still testing how people react to Nishant Kumar being placed in that future role…
