So Pakistan's ISI is now officially recruiting social media influencers to spread anti-India propaganda . Honestly, this is a whole new level of information warfare we are seeing rn.
This one influencer,Shahzad Bhatti, who apparently has a big online following,is now part of their global network . And he’s not just posting random stuff,he is involved in operations targeting places like Jammu and Kashmir and even Delhi.
But it gets worse . The report says he is also helping recruit people for the Khalistan movement in Punjab . This is not small thing ah,using an influencer's reach for actual terror recruitment is seriously disturbing .
And intelligence officials are saying Bhatti's case is basically a "test case" for ISI . Now that they see it's working, they are actively looking for more such influencers in different regions to push their agenda against India.
This whole thing feels very planned and sophisticated .
And it comes after India already tried to shut down these networks with 'Operation Sindoor',which targeted people like Jyoti Malhotra . So ISI just got more careful, not stopped.
Some key parts of their strategy are now pretty clear:
- They want to identify and recruit vulnerable Indian youth using social media channels.
- Main focus is on creating false stories against Indian government and military .
- They are expanding this network to include influencers from around world, not just Pakistan .
And they have proper infrastructure for this . Reports mention call center in Jhelum used for honey traps and financial traps to lure Indians . Other centers are in Islamabad and Lahore, with main hub being Unit 412 in Karachi.
The main goal for ISI seems to be attacking credibility of Indian government and armed forces, especially after our army dismantled so many terror infrastructures over there . They are trying to hit back online .
So the plan is simple, find pro-Pakistan or anti-India profiles on social media, offer them money and followers, and get them to spread misinformation . And many people will fall for this only.
With so much of our lives happening on phones and social media,it really makes you wonder how deep this problem goes and who is even real online anymore…
