Another uncomfortable corruption-related story has come from Tiruchi,and honestly,it is not surprising but still frustrating . On June 18,2026 ,the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption ( DVAC ) carried out surprise operation at Regional Transport Office (RTO) West,and what they reportedly found there raises same old question again.
This inspection happened at office of Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) located in Pirattiyur . DVAC officials reportedly checked premises and uncovered significant financial irregularities during operation.
And tbh,RTO offices are places where normal public already feels nervous only . Licence work,vehicle papers,fitness certificates,permits… people go there because they have no choice . So when unaccounted cash is found in such place,it hits differently .
During operation,officials seized approximately ₹1.45 lakh in unaccounted cash . This money was reportedly in possession of MVI and few associated touts,which makes whole matter look even more messy.
