On May 25, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav delivered a compelling address at a scholarship distribution ceremony held by the Madhya Pradesh State Waqf Board in Bhopal. He emphasized that the newly implemented Waqf laws have played a crucial role in safeguarding numerous Waqf properties across the state while effectively curbing encroachments. This legislative change has opened up new avenues for revenue generation for the Board, allowing it to better serve the community.
During his remarks, CM Yadav attributed the success of these initiatives to the encouragement received from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He noted that the increase in revenue for state Waqf Boards is accompanied by a commitment to uphold integrity and transparency in their operations. This dual focus not only benefits the Board financially but also fosters public trust.
- Digitization of Waqf properties — The Waqf Board has digitized all its properties through the 'Umeed' portal, earning recognition as a national model.

- Recognition with Skoch Award — The digitization initiative received the Skoch Award, highlighting its significance.
Furthermore, CM Yadav expressed pride in Madhya Pradesh’s role as a leader in implementing these reforms, stating that the digitization of Waqf properties is a notable achievement that has garnered national attention. He remarked that this transparent approach has established a model for other states to emulate.
Reflecting on India’s rich cultural heritage, the Chief Minister invoked historical figures such as Abdul Rahim Khan-i-Khanan and Sayyed Ibrahim, emphasizing the essence of mutual respect and harmony.
