Bhopal power circle is suddenly full of whispers after this IAS-IPS reshuffle, and honestly, this whole thing sounds less like routine transfer list and more like inside politics coming out in open .
What is catching attention is report about one IAS officer actively trying for high-ranking position by using connection with senior BJP leader . And that connection is reportedly being pushed through relative who already has ties with influential politicians . Not small thing ah,especially when people had earlier assumed this officer was out of race.
But now his hopes for prominent role seem to have come back again . This is exactly how power games work in administration sometimes, one door looks closed and then some political connection quietly opens another one.
Another surprising part is timing of transfer list . State government issued list of IAS and IPS officers earlier than usual, breaking long-standing tradition of late-night releases . Bureaucrats were apparently taken aback because this kind of swift announcement is not normal in such reshuffles .
Few things standing out clearly here:
- Three principal secretaries received postings in this reshuffle.
- One IAS officer reportedly pushed for high-ranking position through connection with senior BJP leader.
- Commissioner in key department is facing strained relations with superiors .
And tbh,the head of state personally informing several officers about their transfers adds another layer to this whole episode . It was not just “you are transferred,go join” type situation. Officers were also told to align their work with government objectives, which says quite a lot without saying too much.
Among principal secretaries too, story is not plain. One officer finally got long-desired position after extensive lobbying and naturally celebrated his success . But another officer faced disappointment after being sent to important department without getting his desired infrastructure-related role. Same reshuffle, very different emotions .
At same time, there is trouble around one commissioner whose relations with superiors have reportedly deteriorated . There are no allegations of corruption against him,but issue seems to be his reluctance to expedite processes . For higher-ups,that delay itself has become problem.
Then there is retired IAS officer who has openly clashed with current bureaucrats, creating more tension inside institution . Government has now appointed senior IAS officer to manage institution, but whether that calms things down or makes existing friction worse… that question is still hanging.
