One very shocking scene played out in New Delhi on July 20,2026 where thousands of young protesters marched toward Parliament despite police refusing permission . And honestly,the level of chaos that followed has left lot of people deeply unsettled.
The protest was organized by Cockroach Janta Party,commonly known as CJP . Demonstrators gathered at Jantar Mantar protest site with two main demands — accountability over alleged irregularities in NEET exam and resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan . Both demands are not small things to make.
Police had already warned that prohibitory orders were in place . These orders specifically restricted gatherings of five or more individuals without prior approval . But despite all warnings,march proceeded anyway and situation quickly got out of hand.
When crowd attempted to breach barricades set up near Parliament approach,police deployed tear gas and used batons to push protesters back . Both demonstrators and police officers sustained minor injuries during clashes . Authorities also suspended mobile internet services in parts of Central Delhi right now to control information flow and coordination among protesters.
Three things that stood out clearly from this whole incident:

CJP itself is relatively new party . It was founded by Abhijeet Dipke in May and gained traction surprisingly fast among people frustrated with education system . Dipke actually returned from US specifically to lead these protests,which tells you how seriously he is taking this movement.
His cause found some high-profile support too . Activist Sonam Wangchuk joined the protests and started indefinite hunger strike to highlight issues around alleged examination leaks . After 18 days he was hospitalized,but from hospital itself he issued note saying he would continue his fast until government addressed NEET-related issues or until political leaders committed to raising these matters in Parliament . That kind of determination from someone in hospital bed… honestly it hits differently .
And this whole situation reflects something much larger than one protest on one day . Frustration over examination irregularities,lack of transparency,and feeling that young people's futures are being compromised — these things have been building for long time now.
At same time,questions around CJP and its rapid rise are also floating around . Party founded just months ago,founder returning from abroad,protests escalating to this scale within so little time… people are watching closely how all of this unfolds.
Government response so far has been mostly containment — denied permissions,shut metro stations,suspended internet,deployed force . But whether any of these demands actually get addressed in meaningful way,or whether protesters will keep returning in larger numbers…
That part still has no clear answer right now.
