So,UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was in Unnao on June 18,2026 and made some very strong statements . He directly went after Samajwadi Party and Congress,accusing them of family politics.
His main line was,"For me, 25 crore people of Uttar Pradesh are my family" . This was his way of showing a big contrast between him and the opposition parties .
And he was quite direct with his allegations . He said,"The Congress party has never looked beyond the Nehru-Gandhi lineage," and claimed SP has done same thing,only prioritizing its own family. He also blamed them for lawlessness and corruption in past.
But the event wasn't just about political attacks only . He was there to inaugurate and lay foundations for 101 development projects worth more than ₹570 crores . He said these projects would bring lot of prosperity to people in Unnao .
And honestly,this is where politics and development announcements always get mixed together.
He also talked about his government's achievements,saying what they did in last twelve years nationally and nine years in UP is much more than what previous governments managed .
Few things he highlighted for Unnao specifically:
- Infrastructure initiatives like four-lane connectivity in all directions now.
- Defence Manufacturing Corridor land acquisition for 700 acres is finished .
- Historical tributes to local freedom fighters for their sacrifices.
He mentioned the Ganga Expressway,which now lets people from Unnao travel directly to Delhi and Prayagraj . He also talked about industrial clusters coming up,which should create local employment opportunities .
And he also spent some time honoring Unnao's history,calling it a land of spirituality and literature and remembering sacrifices of freedom fighters from the region.
He promised that Unnao will not be allowed to lag behind in development . But after all the speeches and promises,you just wonder how much of this will actually happen on schedule…
