In a brazen daylight robbery, three individuals were arrested on February 16 for allegedly stealing valuables worth ₹50 lakh from the residence of a businessman in Andheri, Mumbai. The police identified the suspects as Suryamani Nadar, Jaywant Charsing Pawar, and Surya Kadvi Mudaliar. The incident took place while the complainant, aged 65, and his wife were away in Jaipur for their son’s wedding.
Upon their return on February 10, the couple's employee discovered signs of forced entry, as a window grill had been broken. The house was thoroughly ransacked, with locks on four cupboards broken and items including diamond-studded ornaments, gold jewellery, and a luxury watch reported missing. The total estimated loss was placed at ₹50 lakh, prompting immediate police action.
