Key Takeaways

  • NBCC net profit rises 39% to ₹253 crore in Q4 FY26
  • Board recommends final dividend of ₹0.46 per share
  • PMC business remains the largest revenue contributor

State-run NBCC (India) Limited reported a significant 38.78% surge in consolidated net profit for the final quarter of FY26. The Navratna PSU saw its profit climb to ₹253.51 crore, up from ₹182.66 crore in the same period last year. This financial leap was primarily driven by enhanced operational performance, even as the company navigated a slight contraction in its top-line revenue.

The company's revenue from operations for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, stood at ₹4,559.79 crore, representing a minor 1.80% year-on-year dip. However, on a sequential basis, the performance was much stronger, with profit rising 28.5% and revenue jumping nearly 51% compared to the previous quarter. The Project Management Consultancy (PMC) arm remained the heavy lifter for the firm, contributing ₹4,356.78 crore to the total revenue.

  • Dividend Declared — Board recommends ₹0.46 per share for the financial year
  • PMC Growth — The core consultancy segment grew by 2% year-on-year
  • EBITDA Performance — Operating earnings stood at ₹287 crore for the quarter

While the PMC segment showed resilience, other business verticals experienced a slowdown. Revenue from the real estate division plummeted to ₹42.72 crore from ₹161.39 crore a year ago. Similarly, the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) segment saw a decline, bringing in ₹140 crore compared to ₹211 crore in the previous year's corresponding quarter.

To reward its shareholders, the NBCC Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of ₹0.46 per equity share with a face value of ₹1. This payout is subject to approval at the next Annual General Meeting and is expected to be disbursed within 30 days of declaration. Despite the mixed revenue results across segments, the sharp rise in net profit underscores the company's focus on cost optimization and project execution.
