Areas like Marine Lines,Prabhadevi,Byculla and Andheri all experienced moderate to heavy rainfall through night . Water accumulated fast in low-lying regions and that led to serious traffic snarls across multiple routes . Subways in Andheri and Malad had to be temporarily shut down because of waterlogging.
Good news is Mumbai Traffic Police confirmed that traffic movement eventually resumed as water levels started receding by morning . But that relief came only after hours of chaos for people stuck on roads during peak hours.

IMD has also mentioned that monsoon activity is expected to intensify across entire Konkan region . That part is concerning because more intensity means more waterlogging,more disruption and more pressure on already stretched civic systems.
