In a significant update, Moody's Investors Service has raised India's GDP growth forecast for the fiscal year 2027 to 7%, an increase from its previous estimate of 6%.
The ratings agency said it does not expect a material reduction in India's debt burden over the next two to three years. High global and domestic interest rates are expected to constrain debt affordability. Moody's also flagged energy prices and external demand among the risks to the outlook.
