But behind all this mat drama,there is also personal struggle running in background . Meenakshi comes from middle-class background,and her family is dealing with financial difficulties along with her mother’s cancer battle . She said,"Athletes work hard for years and governments should support sportspersons so they can focus completely on their training and performances,".
WFI president Sanjay Singh has given official position also . He said,"We have received Meenakshi's complaint . The committee will review the matter,but as things stand,Antim will represent India in 53kg category at the Asian Games."
And that is where things feel stuck right now . Complaint is there,review is coming,but selection also seems already decided… so what does fair hearing even look like in such situation…
