Maharashtra government has now started serious preparation work for upcoming Ashadhi Wari pilgrimage in Pandharpur . And honestly,scale of this effort is quite notable considering how long large gatherings were disrupted before this.
For those who don't follow this closely,Ashadhi Wari is one of most important religious pilgrimages in Maharashtra . Every year thousands of devotees travel to sacred town of Pandharpur and this year especially feels different because big gatherings are finally returning after previous disruptions related to public health concerns.
So authorities are clearly feeling pressure to get everything right this time.
Main focus right now seems to be on transportation and crowd handling . State is planning to deploy additional buses and establish special dedicated routes specifically for pilgrims traveling toward Pandharpur . Idea is to reduce congestion and make sure devotees can actually reach their destination without unnecessary delays or confusion along the way .
