IMD has now issued high alert for July 11,2026 and looking at scale of this warning,situation is serious in ways that cannot be ignored .
Around 20 districts are currently under this alert . Palghar,Nashik,Pune,Mumbai,Raigad… these are not small or remote areas . These are places where millions of people live and go about their daily lives,and all of them have already been dealing with severe weather conditions for past several days.

Yellow alert has also been extended for various other districts across Maharashtra,which tells you that even places not under red or orange alert are still dealing with significant disruption to daily life .
