This Bengaluru case is honestly quite scary because it is not some small online scam kind of thing . Here,a 45-year-old businessman is saying ₹12 lakh loan was taken in his name without him even knowing about it.
Muniraju J . says he came to know about whole thing only when he went to bank’s BTM Layout branch in January 2025 . He had gone there for education loan for his daughter, but bank officials allegedly told him that loan was already sanctioned in his name.
And imagine that shock ah . You go to ask for loan, and suddenly you are told one loan already exists under your own name.
According to complaint, unidentified people allegedly used his Aadhaar and PAN card details to get ₹12 lakh through forged documents . Muniraju says he had never authorised such transaction and then asked bank for details about borrower and documents used.
But this is where things become even more uncomfortable . Despite repeated requests and even legal notice sent on April 28,2025,he claims bank management did not give proper information about matter.
Few things standing out clearly here:
- Muniraju J. claims ₹12 lakh was obtained without his consent .
- Madiwala police have registered case against bank officials.
- Authorities are checking bank’s verification processes.
Now private bank manager and several employees are facing serious allegations . Police have registered case against bank manager and other employees under charges including cheating, forgery, identity theft, and conspiracy .
Tbh,if someone can allegedly use Aadhaar and PAN card details like this and get loan sanctioned, then normal customers will obviously feel unsafe . Bank verification is supposed to catch such things, not let people discover it months later when they need education loan for daughter.
No arrests have been reported yet,and investigation is still going on rn . But bigger question is sitting there only… how did ₹12 lakh loan pass through system without Muniraju J . knowing anything at all…
