Just saw this news about Delhi Police and honestly,it is quite chilling to read . A whole terror module linked to Dawood Ibrahim apparently dismantled.
The Special Cell has arrested eight suspects so far . And they were apparently orchestrating some major attacks in big cities, including Delhi and Mumbai.
And the scary part is where it's all being run from . investigation has revealed Dawood Ibrahim is still operating from his base on Clifton Road in Karachi,Pakistan . This is not new information, but confirms the threat is very much active .
During questioning, the suspects also revealed they were interacting with Muddasar Hussain Sayyed, who is also known as Munna Jhingada, one of Dawood's key guys . Police officials are saying Dawood is still in Pakistan and protected by the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). That Clifton Road area is basically his main residence.
And this is where things get really serious ah.
The investigation is showing how ISI officials were directly involved in coordinating with these guys for planning attacks . They had a whole command center set up near Dawood's house, which was heavily monitored by ISI personnel.
Some key points from this whole operation:
- ISI officials were directly coordinating with operatives in planning attacks .
- Initial plans included attacks in Delhi and Mumbai, with potential for expansion.
- The Dawood Syndicate earmarked ₹20 lakh for the execution of attacks .
This was not just about random terror operations either . Evidence suggests the module was also being set up for targeted assassinations, which is a much more calculated way to create fear.
Delhi Police also seized a big cache of weapons, including hand grenades, which were going to be used in key locations . And the accused were even briefed on their escape plans after the attack . The plan was to get them to Nepal and then to Dubai . So much planning involved .
It just feels like this network is so deep and well-funded,and the fact that it's getting state support from across border makes it a constant problem… you stop one module, but main source is still safe and operating…
