The construction of the 480-meter long bridge over the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad, a significant element of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, has been completed. Standing at about 36 meters tall, this bridge is as high as a 12-story building, marking a notable achievement in the ambitious infrastructure initiative aimed at transforming rail travel in India. The completion of this bridge not only represents a technical milestone but also plays a crucial role in the overall timeline of the bullet train project.
As part of a broader strategy to enhance connectivity between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, the bullet train project includes a total of 21 river bridges in Gujarat, with the Sabarmati River Bridge being a key structure. Out of these, 18 bridges have already been completed, demonstrating significant progress in the overall construction efforts.
